This procedure starts and stops KnowledgeTree on Linux.

 

Note: This topic is not relevant to KnowledgeTreeLive. To start KnowledgeTreeLive, open a Web browser; then, enter the URL to your KnowledgeTreeLive account. If you are using KnowledgeTree on-premise, you can also start KnowledgeTree by entering the server URL in your browser address bar.

 

Perform the following steps:

1.Open a terminal to start KnowledgeTree via the command line interface.

 

2.Type cd ktdms/

 

3.To start the servers (Apache and MySQL) and all services (OpenOffice, Indexer, Scheduler), enter the following command: ./dmsctl.sh start

 

 

Note: See the following commands for alternative actions:

To stop all KnowledgeTree servers and services, use: ./dmsctl.sh stop

 

To stop the Apache server only, use: ./dmsctl stop apache

 

To start the Apache server only, use: ./dmsctl start apache

 

To restart the Apache server only, use: ./dmsctl restart apache

 

To stop MySQL server only, use: ./dmsctl stop mysql

 

To start MySQL server only, use: ./dmsctl start mysql

 

To restart MySQL server only, use: ./dmsctl restart mysql
