This window allows you to add or edit KnowledgeTree Hot Folders configuration settings.

This Window contains the following tabbed pages:

Login Details_________________________________________

This tabbed page displays the URL and the user credentials used to connect to KnowledgeTree (your on premise server, or your KnowledgeTreeLive domain), and it displays settings for a proxy server connection.

Your KnowledgeTree Login Details

URL

The URL to the KnowledgeTree repository (this is the path to your KnowledgeTreeLive domain, which includes your account name, or to your On Premise server, as applicable).

User Name

The name of the person authorized to access the server specified in the URL field.

Password

The password used by the person specified in the User Name field, and which is used along with this username as a credential to access the KnowledgeTree DMS.

Your Proxy Details

Use Proxy

This check box defines whether to use a proxy server connection to KnowledgeTree.

Address

The URL for the proxy server.

Port

The port to use for the proxy server.

Authentication

This check box defines whether to require authenticated connections to the proxy server.

Username

The name of the authenticated user to the proxy server.

Password

The password of the authenticated user for the proxy server.

Document Processing Tab___________________________________

This tabbed page displays the folder locations of the Hot Folders upload and processing folders, and defines how documents are processed on upload.

Folders

Watch

The path to the watchfolder, which is the folder where documents and accompanying XML files are copied or dragged to for upload to KnowledgeTree.

Archive

The path to the archivefolder - successfully uploaded documents are moved to the archivefolder from the watchfolder.

Failure

The path to the failurefolder - documents that fail to upload are moved from the watchfolder to the failurefolder.

Document Processing

(Mode) Basic

A method of document upload that specifies upload of documents using default (basic) metadata.

(Mode) Advanced

A method of upload that specifies the inclusion of an accompanying XML file per uploaded document. The XML file that accompanies each document contains the document metadata, which KnowledgeTree Hot Folders auto-populates in the  KnowledgeTree DMSwhen uploading the document. When selecting Advanced mode, you will need to select the XML filename format that you will use for uploaded document, either .ext.xml or .xml.

XML Filename Format

Defines the XML naming convention to use for documents uploaded through KnowledgeTree Hot Folders.

Action_________________________________________________

... (Browse Buttons adjacent to each [folder name] field)

These buttons each open a Browse For Folder dialog box, where you can create a new folder or select a different  folder location for the folder specified in the adjacent field.

OK

This button saves your changes.

Test Connection

This button verifies whether a connection can be made to the KnowledgeTree DMS using the URL, the user name, and the password you specified.

Cancel

This button closes the KnowledgeTree Hot Folders Settings Window.
