Installing KnowledgeTree Drop Box

KnowledgeTree Drop Box > Installing KnowledgeTree Drop Box

This procedure installs the KnowledgeTree Drop Box.

 

Pre-requisites:

KnowledgeTreeLive account
Windows client machine
Microsoft .Net Framework version 2.0

 

Perform the following steps:

1.Log in to your KnowledgeTreeLive account - this creates your Dropped Documents workspace.

 

2.Download KnowledgeTree Drop Box from the KnowledgeTree website.

 

3.Run setup.exe to install the application.

 

4.Enter the server details when prompted.

 

5.Note installation results:
A Drop Box icon is added to the system tray. Right click on icon to display the Drop Box management menu.

 

A Drop Box shortcut is added to the Windows Start Menu. Click on the shortcut to start Drop Box.

 

A 'Dropped Documents' folder is added to Root folder in the KnowledgeTree DMS.

 

When the user first logs in to KnowledgeTreeLive, a user-specific workspace for dropped documents is added to the 'Dropped Documents' folder. Each user sees only their Dropped Documents folder (workspace).

 

A My Dropped Documents dashlet is added to the KnowledgeTreeLive Dashboard. Recently uploaded documents are listed in this dashlet immediately after upload is complete. A View All button on the dashlet opens the user's workspace in Browse Documents (in the 'Dropped Documents' folder in the Root folder of the repository), where uploaded documents are added.
