Emailing KnowledgeTree Documents

This procedures emails a KnowledgeTree document from within Microsoft Office 2007 (PowerPoint, Word, or Excel).

 

Perform the following steps:

1.Open the relevant Microsoft Office 2007 application - either Word, PowerPoint, or Excel.

 

2.Log in to KnowledgeTree, if you are not already logged on; then, locate the document you want to email - search for the document, or browse to the document through the folder structure.

 

3.Select the relevant document in the folder view; then, click Email Document.

Note: The latest available KnowledgeTree version of the document is

emailed to recipients. Note that if you are editing the document in Microsoft

Office 2007 through KnowledgeTree Office Add-in, you will need to save your

changes back to KnowledgeTree before emailing the document to ensure that

your changes are included in the emailed document.

 

 

4.In the Email Document dialog, add recipients in the To: field - type a name or part of a name in the To: field; then click the adjacent Search icon to filter. Select recipients; then, in the Message field, type a message to accompany the document you're emailing, if required.

   

 

5.Click Send Email.

Note: Emails are logged in the document's transaction history.
