Configuring KnowledgeTree Server Connection

This procedure adds and edits the connection to the KnowledgeTree repository - KnowledgeTreeLive or KnowledgeTree on-premise.

Pre-requisites:

•	A KnowledgeTreeLive account; or, KnowledgeTree on-premise installed

•	KnowledgeTree Office 2007 Add-In installed on the client machine where you are configuring this connection.

Perform the following steps:

1.	On the client machine, open a Microsoft Office 2007 application.

2.	Click the Settings dialog box launcher on the KnowledgeTree ribbon to open the KnowledgeTree Login Details dialog box.

3.	Add or edit the following connection settings:

•	server URL - for KnowledgeTreeLive, use the following format: 'https://live.knowledgetree.com/<accountname>'; for KnowledgeTree on-premise, use the following format: 'http://<url>:<port>, eg 'http://dms.acme.com:8080'. You may want to substitute 'http://' with 'https://'

•	username and password

Note: Your username and password are the same as used to log in to KnowledgeTree's

web interface.

Click OK.

5.	Test the connection you added / edited - click Test Connection.

Note: If the connection fails, ensure that you have the 'read' permission on the root folder

in KnowledgeTree.
