Configuring the Application Event Log

This procedure configures the Application Event log to overwrite old events.

 

Note: This is an optional, but recommended task, which may be performed at any time, but preferably when installing KnowledgeTree DWI Service. Performing this task prevents the Application Log filling up with KnowledgeTree DWI Service events, which may cause KnowledgeTree DWI Service to fail.

 

Perform the following steps:

1.Open the Control Panel on the client machine.

 

2.Double click Administrative Tools.

 

3.Double click Event Viewer to open the Event Viewer Window.

 

4.Right click on the Application log file, listed in the left pane of the Event Viewer Window; then, select Properties to open the Application Properties dialog box.

 

5.On the General tab of the Application Properties dialog box, locate the Log size fieldgroup; then, select the Overwrite events as needed radio button.

 

6.Click OK.
