Viewing / Editing / Deleting / Adding Units

Managing KnowledgeTree > DMS Administration > Users and Groups > Control Units > Viewing / Editing / Deleting / Adding Units

This procedure Displays, Edits, Deletes, and Adds units. It also allows you to open a unit at its folder location in the repository.

 

 

Perform the following steps:

1.Open Users and Groups in DMS Administration; then, click Control Units to open the Unit Administration page.

 

2.Do you want to ...

 

add a new unit? Go to step 3.

 

view existing units? Scroll to the bottom of this page to view existing units, including their folder locations.

 

edit a unit? Click the Edit icon for the relevant unit to open the Edit Unit Details page. Define a new short name for the unit in the Unit Name field; then, click save changes to unit.

 

delete a unit? Click the Delete icon for the relevant unit.

 

open a unit at its' folder location? Click the link in the Folder column for the relevant unit.

 

 

3.Add new units:

 

3.1.Click Add a new unit to open the Add a new unit page.

 

3.2.Type the name for the new unit in the Unit Name field; then, click Next to open the next page of the Add a new unit page.

 

3.3.Navigate the folder structure to select a folder location for the new unit; then, click create unit.

Note: The Unit Administration page opens - a system message informs you that the

new unit has been created.
