Managing KnowledgeTree > DMS Administration > Security Management > Dynamic Conditions > Viewing / Editing / Deleting / Adding Dynamic Conditions
This procedure displays, edits, and deletes existing dynamic conditions, and adds new Dynamic Conditions.
Perform the following steps:
| 1. | Open DMS Administration; then, click Security Management to open the Security Management page. |
| 2. | Click Dynamic Conditions to open the Dynamic Conditions page. |
| • | view existing dynamic conditions? All predefined dynamic conditions are displayed at the bottom of this page. |
| • | edit a dynamic condition? Click the Edit icon for the relevant condition to open the Edit an existing condition page. Make the required changes - the following information is editable: name, edit/add/remove criteria and criteria groups. When you're done, click Update Dynamic Condition. |
| • | delete a dynamic condition? Click the Delete icon for the relevant condition. Confirm the removal of the dynamic condition. |
Note: Deleting a dynamic condition may change the permissions structure and cause the
incorrect removal of permissions in the system.
| • | add new dynamic conditions? Go to step 4. |
| 4. | Create new dynamic condition: |
| 4.1. | Click New to open the Create a new condition page. |
| 4.2. | Define a name for this condition in the Name of condition field. |
| 4.3. | Select any or all from the Return items which match [all/any] of the criteria groups specified pick list. |
| 4.4. | Configure a criteria group in the Criteria Group section: |
| 4.4.1. | Select any or all from the Return items which match [all/any] of the criteria specified below pick list. |
| 4.4.2. | Select a query type from the Criteria pick list; then, click Add to display the Values field for the criteria type you selected. |
| 4.4.3. | Complete the Values field/s for the selected query. |
| 4.4.4. | Do you want to add another query for this criteria group? |
| • | Yes. Go back to step 4.4.2 |
Note: Dynamic conditions are added to the folder Permissions page, where you can assign
and assign dynamic conditions on folders.
