This chapter provides information on the administrative tasks that may be performed through Browse Documents:

Note: Most administrative tasks are performed through DMS Administration.

 

•enable / disable Administrator mode
•edit folder permissions
•assign and edit roles
•import content from a server location
•perform bulk export of content
•perform bulk uploads

 

 

What is 'Browse Documents'?

The Browse Documents module contains the KnowledgeTree content repository.

 

Non-administrative users work with folders and documents in Browse Documents. Access to content in Browse Documents is permissions-based - any user is only allowed to view and work with content where they have the appropriate permissions to do so.

 

To navigate the repository and find stored information, you can drill down through the folder structure, clicking on folders to view their content, or perform simple or advanced searches.

 

Note: Logged in users see only the folders and files on which they have at least the 'read' permission.
